UPS adds new Mexican LCL service

   UPS has expanded its preferred less-than-containerload service offering from Asia into the Mexican cities of Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey.
   Officials say this offering delivers time-in-transit improvements of 20 percent over the typical delivery to Mexico due to the use of the integrator’s LCL network and its CrossBorder Connect service.
   “We continue to see retail, industrial and automotive companies looking for additional freight transportation options allowing them to increase their speed to market without dramatically increasing their transportation costs and without having to sacrifice product visibility,” UPS’ Keith Andrey stated. “UPS’ technology solutions, Mexico customs brokerage expertise and the expansion of its Preferred LCL expedited ocean freight service in this market can alleviate customer challenges related to delays and difficulties in customs processing.”
