UPS, ANA eye partnership to ease pressure from slowing demand

UPS and All Nippon Airways last week agreed to a cargo alliance that will see the two companies carry cargo for each other to bring down operational costs in a slumping market, according to reports out of Asia.

The agreement would likely commence in March, with ANA likely to handle UPS shipments bound for China, South Korea and Thailand and UPS likely to handle ANA airfreight bound for the United States, Europe and the Philippines, Japanese newspaper Nikkei reported.
