UPS completes Beijing facility

UPS has opened a 6,500-square-meter warehouse in Beijing to serve growing Chinese demand, adding the facility to recently completed warehouses in Chengdu and Shanghai.
According to Craig Foster, senior vice president of supply chain and healthcare logistics at UPS Asia Pacific, taken together, the three facilities will enable UPS to “effectively support national and regional order fulfillment and give customers better warehousing and distribution access to developing cities throughout the country.”
Officials also pointed out that the opening of the Beijing warehouse cements UPS’ commitment to China.
“We will continue to leverage our global logistics expertise and expand our offerings in China to meet our customers’ demands for top-notch logistics services,” Richard Loi, president of UPS China, said in a statement.
