United Parcel Service has entered into an alliance with eHatchery LLC, a
full-service incubator and investment fund for Internet-based companies, to provide
development assistance to Internet start-ups.
UPS said the alliance "presents an excellent opportunity" for the
express carrier and package delivery company "to provide our logistics
expertise to a variety of e-commerce start-ups at an early stage in their
development," said Mark Rhoney, president of UPS eVentures.
eHatchery, founded earlier this year by Jeff Levy, is based in Atlanta,
as is UPS.
