UPS Freight offers 2-day delivery from Canada

UPS Freight offers 2-day delivery from Canada

UPS Freight said Tuesday it has achieved two-day transit times from Toronto and Montreal to points as far south as St. Louis and Atlanta, matching northbound, cross-border service improvements last year.

The announcement continues an initiative begun last year that reduced transit times between 1,000 U.S. and Canadian city pairs.

The on-time, guaranteed transit times include Montreal to Milwaukee, Rockford, Ill., and St. Louis. The Toronto terminal can also serve cities in North Carolina and Georgia within two days, UPS Freight said.

Other company initiatives to improve cross-border service include a pre-arrival customs system to speed border clearance, online tracking with instant access to customs documents, delay notifications and 24-hour access to all shipping information.
