The UPS subsidiary has created another specialized unit — UPS Autogistics Inc. — that will offer reengineering of finished vehicle delivery networks. UPS Autogistics' first task will be to improve Ford Motor Co.'s delivery network for Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. The task is part of an alliance between the UPS Logistics Group and Ford to reduce by 40 percent the time it takes to deliver vehicles from Ford plants to dealers and customers.
