UPS NAMES STOFFEL PRESIDENT OF SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTIONS UNIT
United Parcel Service Inc. said it promoted Bob Stoffel to be president of its global third-party logistics unit UPS Supply Chain Solutions.
Stoffel, a 28-year UPS veteran, was vice president of UPS Logistics Group. He played a key role in creating the Supply Chain Solutions group through the integration of UPS Logistics Group, UPS Freight Services and about 20 freight forwarding and customs brokerage companies acquired by the company during the past three years, according to UPS. He also helped to build UPS' logistics operation that provides spare parts to service companies that urgently need to repair equipment for customers.
