UPS has formed a collaboration with Jabil Aftermarket Services to deliver a “reverse” logistics program for high-tech equipment manufacturers.
The two companies present a turn-key model by combining Jabil’s planning, repair and call-center support with UPS’ transportation infrastructure. The program will provide next- and same-day transportation, order fulfillment, repair, returns processing, procurement management and inventory support, among other tools.
“Our customers’ supply chains are becoming increasingly complex,” UPS’ Brad Mitchell said in a statement. “They are looking for industry-leading, high-tech aftermarket solutions to build more flexibility and convenience into their returns process.” – Jon Ross
