Shipping parcels and freight will be more expensive next year for UPS customers.
UPS on Friday said rates next year will increase 4.5 percent for all Air and U.S. origin international services and 4.9 percent on UPS Ground services.
The rates reflect the net average after a reduction in fuel surcharges.
UPS Next Day, 2nd Day and 3rd Day freight rates for shipments within and between the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico will increase 4.9 percent.
In September, FedEx said package and freight rates will increase an average of 5.9 percent U.S. domestic and U.S. international services.
