UPS REBRANDS FRITZ, MILES GROUP AS UPS FREIGHT SERVICES
Fritz Cos. and Miles Group Inc. were officially rebranded as UPS Freight Services Inc., effective July 1, a previously announced measure.
“While existing contractual specifications will not be affected by these changes, the terms and conditions on ocean bills of lading will be slightly modified, UPS Freight Services said in a statement.
The new name also applies to the companies formerly known as Rudolph Miles & Sons, William F. Joffroy Inc., Herman Miles Trucking Inc., and Miles & Joffroy.
Also on July 1, the names UPS Air Freight Services Inc., and UPS Ocean Freight Services Inc., replaced the names of any UPS subsidiaries that provide forwarding services for air and ocean freight.
