UPS upgrades supply chain information tool

Shipping and logistics services provider UPS upgraded its Flex Global View, a supply chain tool for freight forwarding customers.    UPS has upgraded its supply chain information tool referred to as Flex Global View, which provides customers with visibility into four major areas of the supply chain including transportation, customs brokerage, supplier management and warehousing/fulfillment. 
   Flex Global View is free to UPS customers and provides timely updates, access to digitized documents, and proactive alerts regarding shipping activities.
   Upgrades to the tool include more descriptive alerts for air, ocean and surface forwarding shipments; and new systems-driven logic to ensure shipment updates are more helpful and timely, the Atlanta-based company said.
   In addition, UPS customers will have visibility to more than 20 countries added throughout 2016.
