This rule relieves certain restrictions on poultry and egg imports from Denmark.
According to the USDA, the rule will have almost no impact on the price of U.S. poultry. Denmark globally exported about 250 million pounds of poultry meat in 2005, or the equivalent of 0.7 percent of total U.S. poultry production. During that same period, the United States exported 6 billion pounds of poultry meat valued at $2.5 billion.
