The new center will provide a range of cross-dock capabilities, including distribution, consolidation, import deconsolidation and flow-through order fulfillment.
The company said its Phoenix expansion is part of a supply-chain strategy, which includes establishing cross-dock solutions to 75 percent of North America's major market population within the next three years.
The Phoenix location brings to 21 the total number of USF Logistics service centers, with two more locations planned by year-end.
USF Logistics provides transportation management, dedicated fleet, contract warehousing and cross-dock services.
