The 70,000-square-foot Houston center will reach the South Texas market, including Austin, Laredo, and San Antonio. USF’s 65,000-square-foot center in Lakeland will cover Central and South Florida, including Miami, Orlando and Tampa.
The new centers enable USF to “provide direct service to 55 percent of the major-market U.S. population,” said Thomas Lilly, president of USF Distribution, based in Bolingbrook, Ill.
