USFREIGHTWAYS REORGANIZES LOGISTICS SUBSIDIARIES

USFREIGHTWAYS REORGANIZES LOGISTICS SUBSIDIARIES    USF Distribution and USF Logistics will be combined under a single management team headed by Thomas Lilly in his new position as president, Logistics Group. Operating units of each business will remain intact under the new arrangement while administrative and sales functions will be shared. The move is effective immediately.
   Both USF Logistics and USF Distribution will continue to do business under their present names. In his new leadership role Lilly will also have direct line reporting responsibility for USF Processors.
   USF Distribution provides value-added logistics services to the retail and consumer products markets nationwide. USF Logistics operations provide complete supply chain solutions for online retailers and manufacturers; transportation management, dedicated fleet and contract warehousing. Both companies are subsidiaries of Chicago-based, USFreightways.
