USTDA awards agricultural trade grants to Colombia The U.S. Trade and Development Agency has awarded two grants in the amount of $501,210 to Centro de Actividades Logisticas y de Transporte in Colombia to fund feasibility studies on an agricultural products inspections, distribution, and shipping link from Bogota’s El Dorado International Airport.
   The agency said the grants affirms its commitment to support “trade capacity building” under the U.S.-Andean Free Trade Agreement.
   The first feasibility study grant of $304,260 will analyze two components: an inspection and treatment facility and modernization of an airport access road. The purpose is to help Colombian farmers comply with phytosanitary and security regulations needed to export fresh produce and flowers.
   The second feasibility study grant of $196,950 will help evaluate the development of a second air cargo terminal at the El Dorado International Airport. There is only one air cargo terminal at the airport, which is a major air cargo transport center in South America.
