UTI WORLDWIDE IMPLEMENTS EXE SOFTWARE INTO UWAREHOUSE SYSTEM

UTI WORLDWIDE IMPLEMENTS EXE SOFTWARE INTO UWAREHOUSE SYSTEM    UTi Worldwide, a non-asset-based supply chain management company, said Thursday it will implement EXE Technologies Inc.'s EXceed fulfillment, warehouse and distribution software into UTi's warehouse management system, uWarehouse.
   UTi, based in Rancho Dominguez, Calif., has initially implemented EXceed's enhancements at its 80,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility in Melbourne, Australia, which provides supply chain services to customers in the Asia Pacific region. UTi will roll out the enhancements to additional locations worldwide later this year.
   “The high level of integration within EXE's products helps us improve picking and placing productivity. Combined with our uAnalyze system, uWarehouse performance measurement tools document the additional value that we are providing to our customers,” said Rick Anchan UTi's senior vice president for global processes.
   “EXE's ability to support a global implementation will make it possible for us to achieve a high level of integration throughout our global warehouse network,” Anchan said.”Our system allows us to provide real-time visibility of inventory in the supply chain, whether the product is at motion or at rest.”
