UTi Worldwide opens new facility

Southampton is the location for the 30,000-square-foot development.    UTi Worldwide Inc. just opened a freight forwarding and logistics facility in Southampton, UK. The new facility specializes in freight forwarding for clients in the pharmaceutical, fashion, beauty and cruise line industries, UTi said. It stretches 30,000 square feet and is located 30 minutes from the Southampton cruise terminal.
   “Our local team understands the environment and challenges of the cruise and maritime industry. Be it crucial parts for repair or important supplies at the next port of call, this new facility allows us to deliver a first class service,” U.K. and Ireland UTi Vice President Barbara Kearney stated.
   UTi has 310 offices and 230 logistics centers in 59 countries.
