Van Dooren named Safmarine process officer

Container line Safmarine said Friday it has appointed Jan Van Dooren as its chief process officer.
Van Dooren was Safmarine's chief information officer. He will be based at the company's head office in Antwerp, Belgium.
He has been with Safmarine, a subsidiary of the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group, for 25 years and previously managed the carrier's agency networks in Europe, South Africa and the United States. In 1999, he oversaw the integration of Safmarine's non-trade activities into the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group.
