Vancouver (USA) formally opens new marine terminal
Government and industry officials on Thursday will dedicate a new terminal at the Port of Vancouver in Washington, which will support large project cargoes for the wind energy business.
The ceremony also includes groundbreaking for a unit-train rail facility.
The terminal is on property formerly owned by Alcoa and then Evergreen Aluminum for smelting and extruding. The soil was cleaned up to meet environmental standards for redevelopment.
Terminal 5 is already in operation handling and storing wind energy cargo.
