Vanguard names Polish agent
Non-vessel-operating common carrier Vanguard Logistics Services has appointed Warsaw-based Maritime Transport & Agencies Sp. z o.o. (MTA) to serve as its exclusive agent in Poland.
“MTA Scandinavia has been the exclusive Vanguard partner in Scandinavia and Baltic countries since 2006. As a result of the ongoing developments in the region, including bringing Russia and Poland under the MTA structure, Vanguard has immediate strategic advantages in its continued commitment to service freight-forwarding clients in the area,” said Charles Brennan, Vanguard's chief executive officer.
All of Vanguard’s current activities, staff, office and phone lines in Poland have been transferred to the legal entity of MTA. An office in Gdynia also joined the Poland structure through this arrangement. Jacek Bilewski will head the new Vanguard/MTA structure in Poland.
