Vanguard opens Charlotte office, 30 more planned    Vanguard Logistics Services has opened a new branch office in Charlotte, N.C.
   “Our growth in the Southeast region has prompted us to open a new office in Charlotte,' said David Sanchoyerto, Vanguard's Southeast regional vice president, in a statement. 'In addition, the experienced staff at this location will serve as local contacts for all services Vanguard offers.'
   Angela Gaskin, an area sales executive, has become branch manager for the Charlotte location.
      Vanguard’s Charlotte branch is the first of more than 30 offices slated to open globally as part of a major expansion in 2011. “With our planned office openings in China, Germany, Spain, the U.K., Fiji, Mexico, Colombia and the USA, we are able to continue to offer our customers the Vanguard advantage of having more control over freight handling,” said Charles Brennan, chief executive officer for Vanguard.
