Vanguard picks Southeast Asia air cargo manager

   Non-vessel-operating common carrier Vanguard Logistics Services has promoted Collin Rozario to general manager of air freight in the South Pacific and Southeast Asia. 
   Based in Sydney, Rozario will be responsible for developing the NVO’s air freight operations and sales in Southeast Asia by leveraging Vanguard’s own and agency air freight networks, particularly in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. He has headed Vanguard’s South Pacific air cargo program since joining the company in 2003.
   Rozario started his air cargo career in 1983 and has held a variety of management posts, including India, Nigeria, Dubai and, most recently, in Australia and New Zealand.
   Over the past few years, the neutral handling of air cargo for freight forwarders has proven to be an important offering among Vanguard’s services.
   “It is a profitable product for Vanguard as a whole,” said Jeff Lee, the company’s regional managing director for Southeast Asia and the Middle East. “Southeast Asia is a significant source of merchandise, machinery and a whole range of products for the rest of the world.
