Velocity Express to buy CD&L

Velocity Express to buy CD&L    Velocity Express Corp. said it will acquire CD&L Inc., a company involved in the same-day delivery business, for about $66 million.
   Velocity said the combined units would have revenues of $450 million and 5,500 independent contractor drivers operating from 150 locations in the United States and Canada.
