Verheyen has worked at GAC for nearly 13 years and has held management roles in different locations for the group, most recently as managing director of GAC Singapore.
GAC's expansion in recent years in Europe, Africa and Central Asia has also resulted in the split of the company's former Europe, Mediterranean, Africa and Central Asia region. Erland Ebbersten, based in Cairo, continues as group vice president for Africa, Russia and Central Asia, the company said.
