Vessel operator manages oil clean up in Delaware Bay

The owner/operator of a 340-foot containership responsible for an oil spill in the upper Delaware Bay has assumed management and costs for the clean up, the Coast Guard said on Friday.

The Coast Guard linked the Dutch-flagged “Bermuda Islander” to the spill near Port Mahon, which the agency reported on April 25. JR Ship Management is the owner-operator of the vessel.
