Vietnam logistics industry lacking experience, capital, organization
Most logistics services providers in Vietnam have been operating for just five years, with an average capital of just $93,700 each, according to a report Tuesday in the Vietnam News.
A lack of logistics firms establishing representative offices in Vietnam, a shortage of professionals and a limited understanding of international logistics laws has hampered the industry. With nearly 900 companies involved in logistics services, only 97 are members of the Vietnam Freight Forwarders’ Association, the report said.
