Vietnam says apparel will be able to move off docks Vietnam's Ministry of Trade has reached an accommodation with the U.S. government that will allow it to “grant an automatic visa for Vietnamese apparel exports to the US, which will help the batches of products arriving in the U.S. prior to January 11 get customs clearance.”
   The state-owned Web site Vietnam Net Bridge said “an agreement has been reached by the U.S. and the two Vietnamese entities, under which the Ministry of Trade of Vietnam will send a fax to the U.S. Customs Agency declaring that the items were exported under quotas borrowed from 2007.”
   Earlier this week, the Web site cautioned that apparel shipped to the United States could be held at the U.S. docks until Jan. 11, when Vietnam officially implements its WTO commitments.
