Supply chain specialist Virtualized Logistics has announced a series of vendor workshops to help customers manage their suppliers.
The company aims to alleviate the worry around the complexity of managing supplier relationships and negotiations.
Anna Warren, supply chain solutions manager for Virtualized Logistics, said many companies are interested in sourcing more products or components from lower cost countries but are intimidated by the process of beginning those relationships.
“The benefits of a lower unit price are quickly lost if the suppliers/vendors do not meet the specifications or the deadlines,” she said. “You can, of course, impose penalties if problems arise, but that doesn’t keep your production line running or your own customers happy.”
