W.R. Zanes promotes executives

   New Orleans-based customs broker and freight forwarder W. R. Zanes & Co. has announced the election of a handful of new officers.
   Diane Schexnayder was elected president and chief executive officer of the company. Schexnayder, who holds a customs broker license, previously served as vice president for 25 years. She is also a past president of the International Freight Forwarders & Customs Brokers of New Orleans.
   William Lusk, also a licensed customs broker, was elected senior vice president and chief operating officer, having served 25 years as vice president and chief financial officer.
   The company elected Dawn Seither to treasurer and she will serve as chief financial officer. She will also continue to manage W.R. Zanes’ accounting and corporate services responsibilities.
   Leigh Daves was promoted to manager of operations in Mobile, Ala. She has been with the firm since 1989 in various capacities.
   William St. John, president of W.R. Zanes for the past 28 years, will continue as an officer and board member. He will also serve as a consultant to the company.
