The first is to establish a new, 7,500-square-meter distribution center in Chillan, Chile, to serve the southern region of the country.
The second is to provide supply chain services for Ekono-brand stores. Utilizing voice-picking technology, DHL provides supply chain services, including warehousing, distribution management and reverse logistics, to Ekono's 110 stores nationwide.
A new 10,000-square-meter facility employs 150 people and handles general merchandise, dry grocery and frozen products. DHL also coordinates all outbound transportation activities and directs a dedicated fleet of 100 trucks delivering products from the distribution center to Ekono stores.
