Wallenius expands processing center

Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics said an expanded new vehicle processing center in Baltimore will be capable of handling 124,000 units vehicles per year.

The company, whose main U.S. office is in Woodcliff Lake, N.J., held a ribbon-cutting event Tuesday night to mark the opening of the 72-acre facility, which has space to park 12,000 vehicles and load 25 trucks.

The company said the facilities, which include a car wash, a body shop, and paint shop, will allow it to provide a broader array of technical services on a single site.

Including a nearby marine terminal, WWL has a total of 150 acres at the Dundalk Marine Terminal at the Port of Baltimore.
