WALLENIUS LINES BUYS 50% STAKE IN TRANSCAR AG    Wallenius Lines, a Swedish ocean carrier specializing in automotive products and roll-on/roll-off cargoes, has acquired 50 percent of stock shares in Transcar AG, based in Kelsterbach, Germany.
      Transcar AG is a German provider of vehicle transportation and processing that also offers logistics services. Much of Transcar’s operation is focused on U.S. government contracting requirements of American Auto Logistics Inc, an American subsidiary of Wallenius Lines, which ships vehicles for the U.S. Military Traffic Management Command.
   “Transcar AG and Wallenius Lines have had ten years of beneficial cooperation,” Wallenius said in a statement. “This acquisition strengthens that relationship.”
