Wallenius Wilhelmsen names pure car truck carrier    Scandinavian car carrier Wallenius Wilhelmsen Friday christened its latest pure car truck carrier vessel “Toronto” at the port of Baltimore.
   The new vessel is the third of a series of six ships ordered from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries designed with an arrangement of double bottom fuel tanks and solid ballast. Wallenius Wilhelmsen said its hull and propeller design, with patented stator fins, are expected to deliver a 10 percent reduction in fuel consumption.
   Wallenius Wilhelmsen said the vessel is one of 14 new ships that it will put into service over the next four years, with Daewoo Shipyard set to build five more PCTC’s and Poland’s Gdynia Shipyard building three car carriers.
