Wan Hai, Evergreen add Taiwan/India loop    Wan Hai, Evergreen Line and Interasia Lines will start a service linking Taiwan and southern India at the end of the month, Evergreen said Tuesday.
   The weekly service, which Evergreen calls the Taiwan-Madras Trunk (TMT) service, will have a rotation of Taichung, Keelung, Hong Kong, Nansha, Shekou, Port Klang, Chennai, Penang, Port Klang, Singapore, Yantian, Hong Kong and Taichung.
   Wan Hai will provide two ships and Evergreen and Interasia one each, with ships on the service averaging 1,300 TEUs in capacity.
   “India enjoys an annual economic growth rate of 8 to 9 percent with the cargo volume increasing from the Far East to India each year,” the carriers said in a statement. “As the main gate for East India, Chennai has bright future.”
   For Evergreen, it's first-ever call to an East Indian port. The service starts April 29.
