Watco subsidiary acquires Utah-based intermodal provider

Watco Supply Chain Services has purchased BCM Logistics, a Clearfield, Utah-based provider of door-to-door intermodal services, for an undisclosed sum, according to a statement from the company.

   Watco Supply Chain Services, LLC has purchased intermodal services provider BCM Logistics, LLC, according to a statement from the company.
   Based in Clearfield, Utah, BCM Logistics operates as an intermodal marketing company, contracting directly with Class I railroads and ocean carriers to offer door-to-door intermodal service. BCM was founded in 2001 by Mike and Chad Schilleman, both of whom will remain with the company.
   Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
   “We are excited to bring the BCM Logistics team members into the Watco family,” Lynda Patterson, vice president of growth strategies at Watco Supply Chain Services, said of the purchase. “This team adds a tremendous talent base that understands intermodal and most importantly understands the value of putting the Customer First.”
   Patterson said the additional of BCM Intermodal’s expertise in cross-border intermodal services will help to further differentiate Watco Supply Chain Services in the sector.
   “I am excited that our team will be able to aide in the growth of the Watco Supply Chain Services intermodal product while continuing to expand and offer a broader service portfolio to our most valued asset, our customers,” added Chad Schilleman.
