Water technology company to use Amber Road for export screening

   The global trade management solutions provider Amber Road said Wednesday that Xylem Inc., a global water technology company, has implemented Amber Road’s Export On-Demand solution to automate all aspects of export compliance for 300 worldwide users in 150 countries.
   The implementation took place with five separate ERP systems across Xylem’s business units in fewer than three weeks. The on-demand solution covers all key export compliance capabilities, including maintaining reference data, screening trade parties, producing documentation, and providing audit trails.
   “We needed a user-friendly, automated solution that could connect to multiple systems, expand as we grow our business, and allow us to continuously screen entities,” said Charles Mooney, director of trade compliance at Xylem. “We have removed redundancies in our compliance process because we no longer have to screen individual customers.”
   Before implementing Export On-Demand, Xylem relied on a semi-automated process for screening customers, vendors and partners against the various government-issued restricted party lists.
