Waterways Conference elects leaders

   The National Waterways Conference said Monday its members had elected new leadership at its annual meeting held this year in Little Rock, Ark.

   J. Scott Robinson, the port director for the Muskogee-City County Port Authority in Oklahoma, was elected chairman. He succeeds fellow Oklahoman Robert W. Portiss, port director at the Tulsa Port of Catoosa, who had served two terms as chairman.

   Gary LaGrange, president and CEO of the Port of New Orleans, has been elected vice chairman.

   Worth Hager, the full-time president of the Arlington, Va.-based umbrella organization for water resources interests, was reconfirmed in his position.
