Waterways Council names Knoy chairman
Waterways Council Inc. (WCI), a national public policy organization for ports and inland waterways, has named Mark Knoy as its next board chairman, succeeding Berdon Lawrence.
Knoy is president of AEP MEMCO LLC, based in Chesterfield, Mo. Lawrence is chairman of Kirby Corp., based in Houston.
The council, based in Washington, D.C., was formed in 2003 and has more than 250 members, including waterways carriers, shippers and port authorities.
