Weather hinders but doesnÆt stop Hyundai vessel Hyundai Merchant Marine said a vessel damaged last week by rough weather on its way from Korea to Long Beach is back running and will continue on its normal service.
   On Jan. 30, the 'Hyundai Confidence' was en route from Busan, Korea, to Long Beach when the vessel encountered extremely rough weather about 1,200 miles west of Seattle. The weather caused a temporary power outage, which disabled the ship's main engine, leaving it unable to maintain her course for a few hours.
   The crew worked throughout the day to make necessary repairs and restart the main engine, and the vessel was able to sail to Long Beach, where it arrived Friday morning. The vessel will continue on to its next regularly scheduled ports of Oakland and back to Busan.
