Weber names Accomando VP transportation
Weber Logistics, a Santa Fe Springs, Calif.-based third party logistics provider, has appointed Mike Accomando to vice president of transportation services.
Accomando will be responsible for running Weber's Transportation Division, which covers a variety of services, including temperature-controlled and dry less-than-trailerloads, same-day and truckload services, as well as pool distribution, cross-docking/trans-loading, port drayage, logistics and nationwide transportation.
He will oversee more than 100 employees and manage Weber's customer service team, service center, and fleet of more than 350 refrigerated and dry vans and trailers.
Accomando joins Weber with more than 28 years in the industry and most recently worked for R+L Carriers as regional director of operations in Houston. He has also held senior management positions at Daylight Transport, Con-way Freight, and Consolidated Freightways.
