Weber opens Northern California logistics hub

Weber opens Northern California logistics hub    Weber Distribution, a privately held logistics and supply chain management provider, has established a 100,000-square-foot facility in Lodi, Calif. to manage its customers' growing storage and distribution needs throughout Northern California.
   Located near Stockton, Sacramento, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose and Silicon Valley, the temperature-controlled facility is a new hub location for Weber in Northern California, the company said. The facility is adjacent to major rail lines and is 85 miles from the Port of Oakland, which allows Weber to provide a range of import and cross-dock/pool distribution related services, including labeling and routing and outbound transportation to regional locations.
   Some of the customers using Weber's Lodi facility include Cadbury, Tootsie Roll and Just Born. From the Lodi facility, Weber also stores and delivers product for Can-Am Care, a distributor of the HUGO brand rolling walker, to leading retail chains, including Costco and Sam's Club.
   'Our Lodi facility is a geographically desirable distribution point for Northern California and the Pacific Northwest,' said Bill Butler, senior vice president, client solutions and marketing for Weber, in a statement.
