WestStart-CALSTART adds three to board of directors

WestStart-CALSTART adds three to board of directors    WestStart-CALSTART, a North America-based transportation technologies consortium of 120 firms and organizations worldwide, said Tuesday that three industry executives in advanced transportation have joined the group's board of directors.
   They are: Jan van Dokkum, president of UTC Power; Michael Gallagher, president and chief executive officer of Westport Innovations, and John Formisano, vice president of global vehicles for FedEx Express.
   'Adding three leading executives from the private sector to our board of directors is a statement about the improving business outlook for clean and energy efficient transportation technologies,' John Boesel, president and CEO of WestStart-CALSTART, said in a statement.    'The diversity of technologies and approaches represented by these new board members reinforces our corporate philosophy that there will be a variety of successful approaches to solving the nation's transportation energy challenges.'
   WestStart-CALSTART is participant-supported organization, dedicated to expanding and supporting a high-tech transportation industry that cleans the air, creates jobs and improves energy efficiency, the group said.
