Widdows sells NOL stock
   NOL Chief Executive Ron Widdows sold about 27 percent of his shares in the Singapore-based company on Dec. 29, the maritime journal Tradewinds reported last week.

   Widdows sold 200,000 shares in NOL, parent of liner carrier APL, the company said in a disclosure to the Singapore Stock Exchange. The sale netted Widdows roughly $341,000 at $1.71 per share. NOL’s stock had reached a near yearly high at the end of December, buoyed by a resurgent container shipping market and favorable views by analysts. He retains more than 553,000 shares in the company, the report said.
   NOL didn’t immediately return an American Shipper request for comment on the matter.
