Widdows to keep TSA helm The Transpacific Stabilization Agreement said Monday that Ron Widdows would continue to serve as chairman of the discussion group of 14 ocean carriers through 2009.

   Widdows is president and chief executive officer of the NOL Group, the parent of APL.
   Widdows has already served two 12-month terms as TSA chairman, following a January 2007 restructuring designed to involve member line senior managements more directly in the agreement's day-to-day operations. He is also chairman of the World Shipping Council a Washington, D.C.-based shipping industry trade organization.
   'We are fortunate to have Ron Widdows continue at the helm of TSA,' said J.S. Lee, senior executive vice president of Hanjin Shipping Co. Ltd. and a member of TSA's executive committee, in a statement. 'His industry leadership on infrastructure and productivity improvements, and his efforts within TSA to increase transparency and information sharing with customers, have enhanced TSA's visibility and credibility during his tenure.'
