Wilhelmsen to sell, leaseback Oslo headquarters
The Norwegian carrier Wilh. Wilhelmsen said Monday it has reached a sale/lease back agreement for its head office at Lysaker, a suburb of Oslo.
Wilh. Wilhelmsen moved to the 20,000-square-meter office in 1995. The property was valued at $86.6 million as part of the transaction.
“We are pleased to have concluded the agreement,' said Nils Petter Dyvik, group chief financial officer at Wilh. Wilhelmsen. 'Our core business is within the maritime industry, and in the current tight financial market this represents a favorable long term financing.”
The carrier is primarily involved in the car carrier, roll-on/roll-off and logistics sectors.
