WINE AND SPIRITS SHIPPERS ASSOCIATIONS TO USE FREIGHTDESK.COM
'The Wine and Spirits Shippers Association has signed an agreement to use FreightDesk.com’s Internet-based shipping and tracking programs for its members’ beverage imports into the United States.
FreightDesk, based in Bethesda, Md., has developed Internet-based applications specifically for the forwarding industry.
Geoffrey Giovanetti, managing director of the association, said German freight forwarder G.L. Kayser Spediteur will be first member to test the program.
“The web applications from FreightDesk.com will aid us in achieving our mission by improving efficiency, reducing costs and providing our customers with visibility of their purchase orders throughout the transportation life of the order,” Giovanetti said.
