WITASS members extend peak season reefer surcharge
Ocean carriers in the Association of West India Trans-Atlantic Steam Ship Lines (WITASS) have extended to May 31 a peak season surcharge of $250 per container on all eastbound refrigerated shipments.
In a statement, WITASS cited “the continuing high demand on equipment, and the ongoing need to position empty equipment in the region.”
Members of WITASS are CMA CGM, Compania Sud-Americana de Vapores, Stinnes, Hamburg-Sud, Hapag-Lloyd and P&O Nedlloyd.
