Witte elected president of ISU for second time
The International Salvage Union has elected Arnold Witte, chief executive officer of Hillside, N.J.-based salvor Donjon Marine, as its new president to succeed Hans van Rooij of SMIT.
Witte, vice president of the ISU since 2005, has been a member of its executive committee since 1992. He becomes the first ex-ISU president to serve a second term having previously held the role from 1995 to 1998.
He is also chairman of American Steamship Owners Mutual Protection and Indemnity Association Inc. (American Club) and a past president of the American Salvage Association.
