WORLD BANK TO STUDY TRADE AND TRANSPORTATION

WORLD BANK TO STUDY TRADE AND TRANSPORTATION

The World Bank has launched a new study to improve the efficiency of
international transportation.
The Internet-based study, Global Facilitation Partnership for
Transportation and Trade, will help the World Bank to develop programs to reduce trade
barriers and improve port operations in developing countries.
Representatives from the transport industry and governments are
encouraged to exchange transportation data with the World Bank. The World Bank’s Transport
Division, based in Washington, will manage the program, accessible at http://wbln0018.worldbank.org/twu/gfp/nsf.
